Privacy notice.
This notice explains browser-saved practice data, services used to deliver Steady, and Google advertising services.
Updated November 1, 2026
Practice progress stays in your browser
Steady saves your completed exercises, accuracy, missed-key totals, and theme preference using your browser’s local storage. The journal keeps the latest 100 completed exercises. Cumulative per-key totals help select targeted practice words.
The practice code does not upload your typed answers or saved progress to a server. The tutor has no learner account or cloud synchronization. Different browsers, devices, and website addresses have separate practice histories. An unfinished exercise is held in the current page and resets when the page is reloaded.
Clearing your history
You can remove Steady’s saved history and settings by clearing site data for this website in your browser’s privacy or storage controls. This removes the local practice profile and theme choice. Private browsing or blocked storage may prevent progress from surviving a visit.
Website delivery and fonts
Cloudflare Pages hosts this website. Delivering and protecting a web page involves connection information such as an IP address, request details, and browser information. Cloudflare describes its handling of this information in its privacy policy.
The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser makes requests to Google’s font services to display them. Those requests involve normal connection information. See Google Fonts information and Google’s privacy policy.
Google advertising
Steady includes Google AdSense code for advertising and privacy messages. Third-party vendors, including Google and its advertising partners, may place or read cookies, use web beacons and other identifiers, and receive information such as your IP address, browser or device details, and the page you visit. These services use data to deliver and measure ads, protect against fraud, and, depending on your choices and settings, personalize advertising. Requests to Google's services can occur even when no ad is displayed.
Google’s advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to show ads based on visits to Steady and other websites. Other advertising partners may also use cookies or similar technologies. Read How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services for details about Google’s collection, sharing, and use of data.
Advertising choices
You can manage or opt out of Google ad personalization in My Ad Center. You can also explore participating companies’ opt-out choices at YourAdChoices. Turning off personalization does not necessarily remove all advertising or all processing used for measurement, security, and contextual ads.
Where an advertising consent or privacy message is presented, use its controls to review the available choices. Browser settings can also block or clear cookies. Clearing advertising cookies does not automatically remove Steady’s separate local practice history, and clearing Steady’s history does not change your Google account’s ad preferences.
Changes to this notice
